Ok, in all seriousness, If I had a budget of circa 5k for something luxurious, pretty reliable and with a little bit of wow, I'd consider one of these:-

Maybe not what you are thinking of but as its grim up North and a little bit warmer down South I am going with leftfield toplessness - may as well enjoy your time sitting in the traffic topping up the tan and listening to the tunes:

Jaguar XK http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/1727394.htm
Maserati Spider http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/1573331.htm
Merc SL ala Hart to Hart http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/1383766.htm
Alfa Romeo Spider http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/1558618.htm

Other is just to bag the money and get a slightly less boring rep mobile:
Peugot 406 Coupe 3.0 V6 in auto - Pininfarina design and not too much of a concern over people hitting it

If you're doing naff all mileage, you might be better just flogging your car and joining a car club down here - It's what I did last year, and it's worked out well so far...

Connect by Hertz are offering free membership, with car hire from £3.95 p/h - I've often used the Fiesta ST TDCi's they have, and they're fine...You can pay a bit more for a Mk6 Golf, or even more for less space in a Fiat 500 / MINI Cooper if you're image conscious...

http://www.connectbyhertz.com/home.aspx?switch=true

30 miles per hire incl. - Fuel & Congestion Charge Incl...Works out £££ if you're going far (excessive mileage ain't cheap) but fine for scooting around town when you can't face the tube / bus / DLR / overground etc etc...

Have you been defending or prosecuting drug dealers ??

Just cause these cost f*** all to buy, they still retain their running costs, and something that leggy is going to require some serious TLC.

Old vr6 or 4 motion?

Eclass? 5 series? 7 series?

Sounds like you want something with bumpers :thumbsup
