Big thanks to Tut, Verian and Family from Wendy and I.
We were only bit-part players this weekend due to other commitments but even just popping over to watch some of the Trackday stuff and driving up to join everyone for dinner on the saturday at Tut Towers helped in some way to feel part of it all. I am a sad git and hang around a few different car forums.... Scottish Elises really is a special place. :thumbsup

Many thanks to the Duncan's for all their hard work and efforts to making this a fantastic unforgetable epic weekend for both of us. The food, booze, socialing, epic roads are things we shall remember for years to come. Lets hope we can have another one as this was one truely epic weekend. 700 miles on the car without any problems apart from myself feeling rather shattered after all the driving. This weekend really showed how special a place scottish elises is. All these people from all various aspects of life coming together with one thing in common! :P Will sleep well tonight and heres to the next one  :cheers :cheers

Thanks Tut, Verian, Ian, Claire and Luke for a truly fab weekend.

It was also great to meet Khan, dunno what everyone was talking about when they said he was wild - never saw that side of him :D :D

+1 huge thanks to Tut and Verian and also to the rest of the family for putting up with us.

Another one of those SE events that I'll never forget, some great driving with the Craig and Andy's 340Rs despite Craig trying out his James Bond Oil Slick gadget on me and Andy (who was clearly the bad guy in all this) getting me into trouble with the law.

Sorry I had to leave early this morning, I wanted to get some time with Eve on fathers day, but none the less had a fantastic run home with Paul G over the Glenshee Road including an airborne moment so Paul could check out that the R8 undertray was looking ok

Other traumatic memories included

Some Ape on a bike overtaking me and wiggling his ass
Benny in excellent form
Jen....being Jen :thumbsup
Heather's xx" heels
The mystical neighbour with magical powers
Ian wringing everything out of the TT with an 'if they can do that so can I' type of attitude :thumbsup
Craig warning me of possible behavioural issues during his sleep just as we went to bed in the same hotel room
Some nice residents of Turriff telling complete lies and wasting police and our time...

Big sorry to Jen for not having time to do a pax run this morning, maybe a good thing if you were feeling a bit ropey

Legendary stuff!

Wow what a weekend. Rory & i had a fantasic time. Many thanks to those who took Rory for passenger laps, and a big thanks to Andy for giving him a ride to FW in his very nice Evora.
George ??? Thanks again for coming to the rescue, when i sprung a water leak.

And a very special thanks to the Duncan family, who made all of us so welcome. I truly take my hat off to you all,for all the effort you must have put into the planning. If any of the Duncan family ever wish free accomodation to visit St Andrews, they will be more than welcome to stay at ours.

Regards

Wow - what a stunning weekend :thumbsup

Thanks to all the Duncans (especially Verian) and team (including Hamish in full whites :D ) - you have been so generous letting 150 of us run rampage. Luckily I was spared the wrath of khan (!).

Abiding memories include Tut tucking in chunks of the suckling pig (sorry veggies), with more than the odd grunt (must have been later on), which reminded me of this :

I'm absolutely shattered, sunburnt (thanks Knockhill for breaking the mould) and having to readjust to normal life.

Many, many thanks :cheers

Stephen, Ian and Smee - great fun driving with you all :P

When I parked the car in Newcastle tonight the mileometer clicked onto 1080 miles since I left. I'm dirty, smelly, exhausted but still have a massive smile on my face.....says it all really :thumbsup

Thankyou Family Duncan for a most excellent adventure, hospitality like I've never experienced, a truly excellent weekend. I had a great time, met loads of great people, drove great roads...the whole thing, well it was just great! :), couldn't have had more fun as a TT and SE noobie.

Highlights like following Tut over a blind crest into a collective cloud of smoking tyres as our entire convoy realised we had come out of junction will make me chuckle for ever more. There were too many great moments to name them all.

Time for bed, I'm shattered.
:cheers

Tut, Verian and family, we cannot thank you enough, you organised a spectacular weekend, one which we will always remember and all the hours of hard work are really appreciated.
Meeting so many people who untill this weekend were just a quirky avatar and username. SE is so lucky to have so many friendly and welcoming people.
I hope that when this (likely) lengthy thread ends that you print it off and keep it for a memory but I think we'll be talking about it for some time.

Thanks again
