Well guys,
Back in front of a PC for the first time since Friday and what can I say. I think a few thanks are in order:
Andy - The man with the plan and the guy that actually gets prizes etc & much more importantly, signs the cheques! Every year we have a discussion about the prospects and I'm the pessimist and he the rampant optimist. It says something about this group that we always end up closer to his vision than mine!
Knockhill - for their great organisation of the day, the only two red flags were taken care of quickly and efficiently and despite the conditions, the event ran as smoothly as you could hope for. Top guys and we're blessed to have this as our local track.
Boroughmuir - I think we can all agree, it was a top venue and nothing was too much hassle for them. If we've not been barred for the state we left it in, I'm sure it won't be the last time we use it!
Rowan from Cancer Research - She came over from Glasgow just to deliver two little speeches to tell you all about the charity - hung about for two hours at the evening event till we got the auction started (and still had to tell a few to shut up

) and gave what I thought was a very poignant talk that certainly reminded me exactly why we do this.
Our AMP3 suppliers - including Shure, Logitech, Speedo, X Mini, Audioengine and several more who kindly donated prizes aplenty. Also, some great prizes from Mads, Scotty and Gambler (please forgive me anyone who donated anything else - I don't have a list in front of me and I did destroy quite a lot of brain cells later on that night)
Our stunning Pax experience drivers - Mads, Andy, Mass, Scotty, Gambler & Peter; some stunning cars and mental driving - I don't know of anyone that got out of these pax runs and wasn't gibbering on all night about how cool it was.
The boys from MMC - for their great prizes, top entertainment as they made the most of a night out (Craig drinking Stuntmen in Opal Lounge was a highlight) and, on a personal level, Craig for organising my car to be there and good to go, despite not being finished or taxed.
The AMP3 team - Mr Ed was pivotal in Boroughmuir and single-handedly organised that bit of the event - top work mate, also Mark who was pivotal in organizing a ton of stuff and struggled in the rain to swap out the Mule battery so it could get out for it's paid laps in the hands of the competition winners. I'd have had a sense of humour failure, but not Marky - good lad!
Finally, last but not least - Everyone who came along to the track or the evening or both. I was really happy that despite the conditions, everyone was having fun but keeping the session running - some other clubs, that'd have been a horrific flag-fest, but not us! Coming along to the evening and bidding high, bantering well and just generally having a brilliant time - I don't know a bunch of folk that do it better.
Top top day folks, goes down in my books as one of my favourite SE events to date. If I've forgotten anyone, apologies, but in my defence, I believe it was 8am on Saturday morning that I stopped drinking and finally grabbed a couple of hours kip!
I'm looking forward to the next one already
