Man....just typed a heap of stuff and this stupid hotel pc moved pages....right will just upload the pics...Arrrgggh...
Done 400 miles over the past couple of days. Was in Richmond, VA the first night. Now in Hicksville or something! Pouring rain today and tomorrow (I think). Should make for an interesting ride as we are hitting the Blue Ridge Parkay over the Apalacian Mountains! Already nearly ran a red light with my back wheel locked up due the rain....and maybe a heavy foot on the back brake! I was in charge of the GPS today which was hard work as I am still getting used to the bike, the roads/signs and having to watch the GPS was quite stressfull for an hour or so. But we have had two days of safe riding and we are on track with distance. Loving my bike....same colour as my Elise....what are the chances of that!!

Was looking at my pics on photobucket and there are too many to sift through....cant be bothered! If you want to see some pics of the trip then check out the album on photobucket. Lots of duplicates as was using iphone and camera. Lots of rubbish in there and straight road pics! Quite hard to take lots of decent pics whilst riding!!
Had a brilliant trip without any real problems and would do it all again in a heartbeat....roll on my 50th so I can do the Northern states!! One thing I would say about America is that there is a lot of nothing there and way more poverty than I thought. The people were all really nice and welcoming....even out in the sticks where we thought the banjo playing may have started
Only got worried about running out of fuel once on our way to Oklahoma city but finally made it to a petrol station with the fuel light on.....that's as much drama as we got....which was great!
Biggest dissapointment was the the bad weather on day 2 and 3 as we couldn't see any of the views on the Blue Ridge Parkway and the riding was slow and wet for bout 100 miles of what would normally be a fantastic riding road.
The best things:
Hanging out with my best pal on bikes
Shooting guns in Vegas
Horse riding in Paloduro Canyon near Amarillo, Tx
Cadillac Ranch....spraying an SE mention on the cars!
Grand Canyon....just awsome
Universal Studios, LA
Largest meteor crator (on land) in the world
Making the 1 mile long trains honk there horns to us when we got bored in Texas/Arizona
Graceland was well worth a vist even though not a hude Elvis fan
I quite fancy getting a Trans Am for my next trip and doing a Smokey and teh Bandit type road trip....roll on 50!!
