Cheers for all the positive coments, and he is indeed settling in well. He has taken a particular shine to Meg.
Bruno is or 5th dog that we have rescued, would never dream of going to a breeder, there are so many animals in need of a good home that is where we always start looking and have, as yet never had a problem finding a suitable dog. Zak did require a lot of work to train out a lot of pre learned behavioural trates but boy was it worth the effort. With Bruno we are starting from a much better place and thinking about taking him to agility class for a bit of fun.

I will probably never buy a puppy or pedigree again now and alway try a rescue centre first :thumbsup
Donna i am part of a rescue group , and help with rehoming of a pedigree breed and very often puppies come up too so there is another option :thumbsup .
Just because a dog is a pedigree doesn't mean they will be treated any better in life just they dont find their way into centres as much :(

Sorry, i probably didnt get my point across clearly, i meant i wouldnt buy a pup or pedigree from a breeder, i would certainly rehome one though.

After the new year we are going to start looking for a special do for us again so any links to rescue places are welcome :cheers

We got our Cane Corso from Mrs Murray's and she's turned out to be an amazing dog.

I've now gotten involved with large dog rescue including Corso's if anyone's after a big dog you can have a look at iron Mountain large breed rescue on Facebook
