Not a great day...

Post by Scotty C » Sun Dec 19, 2010 11:38 am

I had to get 4 drums a hand pump and a hose for a customer. He has also ran out of heating fuel, he's been waiting for 3 weeks. He got his Gardner to come a collect them in his pick up and get them filled. If anyone wants I can ask if they are struggling for fuel.

Speaking to my company Peter, they have the oil, but many customers out here are on side roads which are still lethal so they just can not get out to them.

I have been with Connon Oil since we moved in here fifteen years ago, most of that with the same driver Neil. Never shopped around for prices as the good service means more. Purely by coincidence this afternoon I called him to say I had a bottle of Macallan for Xmas that he could pick up if he happened to be passing.

His tanker just turned up with 2,000 litres. Purely by coincidence of course.

Running out of oil and mid January for delivery. I'm with Brogans and find this seriously out of order.
The way I see it, I pay DD @ £140 a month and they can't deliver. So I'm paying for a service they are currently not offering me. They said if I can get hold of drums I can come and collect.

Give it a few days and i can offer a solution to those that are having delivery issues

I have a 1000litre tank on the trailer behind the landrover. It is currently full with some heating oil for ourselves once it is empty which should be after this weekend then folk are welcome to borrow it.

I'm off between crimbo and new year so i can help out those that are in the poop and local.

if you are deeply in the poop and freezing to death i can lend a few drums worth.
Landrover 90 = Muddy shed spec
Fiat panda = Couldn't care less spec
Landrover ?? = Muddy shrek spec
Unimog 404S = Very slow silly offroader spec
Kubota F1900 = Snowplough spec
