Weird, isn't it - lots of endurance cars are going with this style of top-mount wing now... Can only assume they've figured that they get more downforce from the underside of the wing, or less drag, or something if the mounts are in the top.
yeah i think thats it shug...its the underside (low pressure side)thats doing all the work by affectively sucking the aerofoil down......so, as you say trying to gain more downforce....

:thumbsup leigh

I was lucky enough to get the full technical briefing here last night at our East Coast NY dealer meeting from our Motorsport director - this is a SERIOUS piece of kit :thumbsup

And I got Derek Bell's autograph this morning and 10 mins of his chat on THAT Ring video (unashamed fan faction)

Yep, it's 14 hours a day and seven days a week this month - but what a place to do it....

When he says "I can't keep up with Jacky Ickyx, he's on his qualifying lap, and I have a camera in the car" I didn't realise he meant a huge 80s style TV camera in the car, with a scaffolding mount that hit him on the head every time he turned a corner....!

What a gentleman he was, time for everyone.
