For 3 weeks, but only taking clothing etc. for one week as we (future wife and I..) have booked self catering accommodation for 2 out of the 3 weeks we are away. The boot-Bag is handy in that it can be taken off and put back on quickly and can also work well as an overnight bag for the duration of the first week of our honeymoon as we'll be staying in a number of different places.

I've looked into vac bags, but there simply isn't enough space to "comfortably" get everything into an elise, certainly if you want to store the roof in the boot and not in the passenger footwell. I simply don't want the hassle anymore of having to spend 15 min. trying to cram everything in each time we stop anywhere. I know I could, and have done it before on our last European trip, but can't be bothered with it now
It also means I may have some extra room to bring some stuff back as well.

Are there any vac-bags that don't require a vacuum? I think taking the dyson on holiday might offset the spacesavings...

Helmets are the biggest pain to cart about. Post Frolice S and I had all our stuff in the 340 for a week and she is not known for travelling light. That said she was not the most comfortable.

Very impressive.. as long as it wasn't a honda'd S1 in which case you can't use the boot at all..
The best I managed was 2 weeks in an Exige with a three person tent and all the necessary gubbins, all clothes etc. plus we managed to get the soft top in the boot as well.. bearing in mind that I'm 6ft 3 and 17.5 st., I also take up a considerable amount of room as well.. and my girlfriend managed to "just" be comfortable..

If you buy the ones with a little valve, you can just kneel / sit on them to push the air out, then the valve doesn't let it back in + refit the cap to seal :)
