Well Rich, as I type you could well me vomitting at Mach 1!
Hope you have a great time mate, I'm green as a .. well... a green thing!
Like Ed, I'll have to wait till I can afford the trip to russia and go up in a rickety old Mig 21 - could never afford a go in a 29
can't stop thinking, "lucky bugger...lucky bugger"

It was my next door neighbour who ditched it - said the plane was a bit dodgy, next thing he knew he was barrell rolling towards the sea - he hit the ejector button and his passenger went first and then him - breaking both his back and his knee!!
Found floating in his dingy!
Nice and Good luck Rich!

Well I survived....
fcuk me what a ride. And no vom too!
We did the entire great glen (No nessie
) inside 12 minutes....
Aeros over Pitlochrie 4G loop, Barrel rolls and a flat 8 amongst others. That thing can roll!
It was quiet and smooth, the only noise was the electrics. The ride was gentle and G force is great. Got up to around 4.5G and held for a while, G-trowsers come in at 2.5G and are really comfortable.
Then it was out to sea for a high speed run. Mach 1 was unmarked apart from the gauge, but it accelorates insanely. We were at 200kts, then Al (the driver) just says "power going on now, reheat lit, here we go." It then feels like someone is slowly trying to squash your kidneys out ,in the nicest possible way, with the seat. The air speed meter just keeps on climbing and the presure on your back builds up and up. 200-250-300-350-400-450 up to Mach 1.05 which is all it would do straight and level before we ran out of room. It was gaining around 50kts a second or so....
Al then casually threw it 90 deg and pulled hard. It's still as manouverable at Mach 1 as it is at 200!
He then pointed out we had used 500kg of fuel in a little over 2 minutes!
No pics as I would have dropped the camera, and they would be sh!t anyway.
They get paid for that every day FFS. And you are paying out of your taxes!
So a big thanks for the trip! (Indirectly...)
