I'll be interested to see what it does go for. If the rear clam is repairable, then new front clam, windscreen, windscreen surround/frame, rear window, fibre glass repairs to doors/sills, spoiler, roll bar fairing, front headlamp cover, front NS suspension damage, wing mirrors (see Tut)! Only other thing I noticed from when I took photos the next day is that the roll over bar doesn't look straight anymore. New roof will be require too. Hopefully all the bits that go with it are still in the car, looks like they might be, going by the photos.

I see it's now up to £1805. Where it states there is no V5 or keys, that's rubbish. You can even see the keys in one of the pictures! I still have the spare set and all the other paperwork, Including service history, as I'm not sending any of it off until I know when I'm getting a pay out.

That is in much better condition than I actually expected, seen a few people roll the old civic I used to have and they were considerably worse off, crumpled like an old can with the roof totally flattened

Peter, there is no way that you should have let them take ownership and auction it without a price having been agreed. You should have received a written agreement that you were giving permission for them to take ownership and auction the car. I was told after mine went then I could have insisted that it was repaired, they also classed it as a CAT D when it should have been a CAT C. I received a cheque stating that even if I cashed it, that did not mean that I had accepted the figure and could still contest it.

If it was me I would try to get it withdrawn now, though it finishes at 1100. If they offer you a silly figure, your car has already gone. Brian Laing was offered £8k for his Honda S2 but ended up with £20K after telling them to eff off a few times.

Get on the phone.

Sorry to see this Peter. The main thing is you came out of it in one piece. Have you found yourself a new one yet? :D

Been travelling back from Bologna, so only just got back on line. I've been given a verbal figure and also spoken with someone at the insurance co. earlier in the week but never actually took note of when the auction was ending. I thought they ran for a few days. I'll be chasing them up on Monday morning, and I had been thinking it was a Cat D rather than C.

I've not bought a new one quite yet Neil. Not sure what I'm going to do at the moment.
