My friend John Duthie, Duthie Motors, is looking at putting his S1 Elise up for sale, and it is the second one he has had. He has looked after all our cars, including N1 and N3, and there are several locals that have used him for servicing and MOT's for their Elises.

It is a '99 Azure blue S1, absolutely standard apart from S/S exhaust and new shocks. It has MMC's, 63K miles, he has done 2K in the last three years which is why he is selling it, no track days, and will have a service, 12 months MOT, and tax.

If anybody is interested before he advertises it, let me know and I can give more details and pictures.

It was Cat D.

Do you know what shocks it has tut? Mate at work is genuinely interested...

They have been uprated, I think they are Gaz.

I got close to selling it for him twice, but it has had eight owners which is not a plus point. The CAT D was just the usual clamshell damage, would not bother us, but will affect the price. However there is a two inch thick folder with most of the history and servicing in it.

I think everyone should stop talking about s1 elises as i'm desperate to get one soon as i get shot of my exige.
I don't need you all getting ideas of the value of them.
:-(
One last weekend - 40,000mls, all the normal plus points - suspension/bushes/radiator/tyres etc
£7500.
Gutted to miss out on that one.. Would even have put up with the red roof at that price and spec.

Regarding values, 3 years ago i bought one for 8,000 with 40,000mls,
Sold it a year later for £8600 with 60,000mls. (with hardtop)
So apart from two services, did hold it's value.

Can't see me making any money on my one, going by the mount of money I've ended up spending on it. But it will be a great handling car and will be like new underneath :thumbsup
