For something to use as a roundaround / commuter car, I can see the sense in that.

"Fun runaround" is the idea.
The last 4 cars in that space in the garage were the Esprit GT3, Evo VI TME, Porsche Turbo S and R300. The MX5 certainly isn't the same as them so might actually get used a bit more and it is hardly likely to cost much to own.

MX5 - the answer to everything! Great choice for sensible fun.
I agree with Dom, and he probably knows a lot of hairdressers.
I mean in a professional capacity.
I mean his, not theirs.

Good buy
Fun little cars - I owned a Mk2 for a while, and the chassis balance is very good straight out the box (i.e. like a Caterham, any eejit can get one sideways!

)
Cheap as chips to run, and can handle 'rough love' without breaking.
You should definitely consider a Knockhill trackday in it - Gutless in a straight line, but
massive amount of fun in the twisties.

Decided to jump on the MX-5 bandwagon just in time for summer. Gayle missed the Boxster and although tempted to get another, decided to get something that was cheaper to run , insure and hopefully be ultra reliable.
Picked up this 20th anniversary one on Friday, nice low mileage one owner car, need a bit of a deep clean but now looking magnificent and most importantly Gayle loves it.

Agreed that would have been one of my choices, but reigned myself in this time as this was Gayles choice and colour choice. I don't see me driving it much or at all, despite it being a great car. I look a bit out of place driving a white MX-5, especially withe the roof down!
