I see WankR as an affluent "Dinky" with his six foreign holidays a year settling nicely into Porsche owner mould :D

Used prices should fall when the dealers start taking orders and faced with the prospect of current models being traded in.
There will undoubtedly be deals on any new current models left I'm the network as well

Few more than that I'm afraid  . If I had less holidays I could afford a new one, but currently looking to spend 25K.

Still wouldn't buy one but the 'base' Cayman gets a good write up too

They are the kind of car your Granny could drive at 100mph all day. Porsche is like Audi, beautiful build quality as dull as a box of rocks to drive. That said I did keep my 911 for 3 years longest ever I kept a car.

I think the Cayman was a great proposition even before the new one.

Remember seeing one after deciding to get rid of the 111r, and just being amazed at the build quality. Very nearly bought one at the time, then started really thinking about what i wanted to do.....long story, still wonder if I'm trying to figure it out!!

WGAF about what other people think? If you go through life on that premise you'll get nowhere. Some people love Loti, some dont, Porches get more grief absolutely, but only in this society where we earn such assets through "luck"! Most other cultures actually admire the cars..............

Porsches are superb cars, but its each to their own. GT3 is definately the best car I've ever owned - dont think Id want the RS version to extreme, normal 911 is a bit too ordinary.

Suspect this Cayman could well be the best drivers Porsche built in years. Off to the local launch next month so will report back then!

BTW - with its new price dont forget the R8 or 997 GT3 - both are at that sort of money now, and truely superb cars. Even F430's are dropping to that sort of money! (much more temperamental)
