Well looks like the cold start issue has resolved itself now. Car didn't hesitate this morning the way it has been doing for the last couple of weeks.

I won't be putting the nitro+ back in the car ever.

Interesting to see this topic, I've been using BP 97 octane in my Impreza for a while now, but thought I'd try Shell Nitro recently, and definitely noticed the car running rougher than it had previously (not a major difference, but enough to be noticeable).

I'm putting it down to the fact that with more cleaning stuff in the mixture so there is less actual petrol per litre than before and thus makes it leaner and the Evora doesn't like it being as lean as it is. I could be totally wrong though.

I noticed my S1 Elise wasn't starting as well on Nitro+, back to Tesco Value then.

Nothing of any value to add, but i'd love to hear a Sport 160 idling running this V-Power Nitro+

Found an old bottle of Redex, so put some of that in today.

I only run on 95 anyway.

If you pop over with £45 worth of it, I may be persuaded.

Shell V-Power Nitro+ - Cold Starts

Post by flyingscot68 » Tue May 14, 2013 9:22 pm

I nearly filled up with the nitro+ the other day.
After reading this I'm not going to bother. Evora runs very nicely on the 'normal' stuff. The only fuel I avoid is Morrisons. I've heard a few taxi boys having problems with their diesel.

Well I filled up with Nitro at the weekend and will be using the exige to go to work tomorrow so will find out what happens. Car is also booked into MMC on Monday for a service so I hope that it is running fine for that.
