Thanks all for the kind words of support
I was through visiting him this afternoon at Forth Valley Royal, Lachie had just had a visit from the specialist, the type of bone cance is the most easily treated with one of 5 types of drugs used to treat it initially and if it should come back then a different drug is used the next time. This is not a form of cancer they would normally treat with a bone marrow transplant - (pity since he has a match right here in me ) and the chemotherapy he is on is in tablet for although having seen the 20 or so tablets he had to take with his T I wouldnt like to name them all.

Hes was joking at having recieved 3 units of blood back from the hospitial would the blood donar service take that off his total as like me he has been a regular blood donar since he was 18

I've sent him a link to this thread and he know's you rooting for him too, thankfully he has a phone signal and free WiFi at the hospital so doesnt feel totally out of the loop

cheers Hamish

thanks all :D
from a quick call to lachie today he'd had a chat with the Oncology consultant and the Palliative care team who are conident of a positive outcome and just need to get him back fully mobil so he now has a zimmer and was able to get to the toilet today in his hospital room and wipe his own bum for the first time in a week , wasnt too enamoured with the hospital food and I told him if you think its not great now wait until it gets cold  so he's taken that on board and now eats when he gets it even if he has to take an under the tongue fast acting pain killer to allow him to sit up for it - it may be slow progress but its progress none the less keep it up Bro :thumbsup
