Hopefully seeing it tomorrow at lunch time. Si, still very hungover so not going to make it out tonight man, but will txt you as you are already in the restaurant, so this is pointless!

By the sounds of it, i will be seeing it with about 6 others!!!

Please take pity on Dave (it wont be hard when you actually see him) he hasnt owned a decent car since he had his CTR.

Sell the car to him, he desperatley needs something, anything, to get off the bottom rung of car ownership.

How the hell can they write the car off with that superficial damage?

It does not even need a new rear clam, Craig would have that looking like new with a few hours work.

Exactly what I thought...JM Group in Perth will not repair so 2 new clams from Lotus, materials and whatever horrendous amount of labour they must charge equals greater than 60% of the value, so uneconomical to repair for the insurance company. Total farce in my opinion and I was just as shocked but a bargain for someone!

Just to add, there was no third party to claim from and I reckon it would have been repaired if there had been. Engineer mentioned 7k when he was talking about repair estimates, I'm sure it costs less to paint the Forth rail bridge

Has the new owner signed a disclosure form?

Is it someone who is known to us?

Yup, well it wasn't me, and it wasn't Ross, and it wasn't the laydeez man as he was hitting on the staff in Ricks and never made it, so if the new (and i have to say very lucky new owner!) would like to come forward....you can take your beating like a man...!

Just joking, but what an awesome car!

I am gutted...

Dave

P.S Can one of you go and dump your car up at Toys R us for me, i will arrange for a 4x4 to come along and hey presto!!!

The luck I have with these cars when parked, well it probably won't be long until...in fact, I'm not even going to say it. Now you know why I bought a bright yellow replacement

Ross/Dave
Thanks again for coming to view the car, it was good to meet you both. Sorry we couldn't do a deal and I hope you both get something soon.

Cheers,
Steve

I know the feeling Dave - i'm just glad i couldn't afford the price it went for - would be even worse if it was something silly like 50 quid over my limit. Still... it is an awesome car!

Steve, nice to meet you mate. Thanks for keeping us in the loop of what was happening - even though i didnt get it! Glad you made a nice profit out of it.
Maybe you should give me and Dave shots of your exige as compensation!!!

Also - if the deal falls through, you know who to call!
