What's the catch? How do they do it?

Aiming to resolve today. Too much distraction!

Three packages def amongst the most comprehensive.

Don't know, but remember & buy through Quidco for complete Pikeyness.

Other advantage of the business package is that additional numbers (Mrs Campbell, Campbell Juniors) can be cheaper than several individual personal contracts. :thumbsup ...can be added on when required.

Thanks to the info on here I have now doubled the use of my 3 phone.

As visitors to Tut Towers will know it is virtually a dead zone in the house, although I am getting a signal in parts of the house if I stand on my head and sing Yankee Doodle. However I have now downloaded the app Three In Touch and I can connect via my wi-fi or any other in range. I have also downloaded Fast Connect which means that I can connect to any Cloud Hotspot, and having Registered it is all automatic, no need to put in any details.

Now owner of MBA, iPad Mini, and an unexpected iPhone on 3.

O2's Tu-Go app has been much the same, Tut, and proved useful for me too. No longer a USP for O2 though and so could be time to switch.

Dom - good points. Thankfully Lisa carries an employer-funded Blackberry Z10 which she has made friends with, and I'm strongly resisting phones for the kids for a while yet :-)

Add to this that the Three Business sales agent has still not sent through some promised answers and info, and I'm running out of patience.

And battery. My iPhone 4 was at 80% when I left the house at 1pm. All I've done is make 2 quick calls, deal with a few emails and surf SE while awaiting the dentist, and ios8 has kindly dragged the battery down to 58%. Pathetic.

I had similar experience, they got there eventually, but never quite in the time frame they promised - I got the impression they were a bit snowed under. IMHO it's better to under promise and over deliver, than visa versa.

I presume you have a 4S Campbell as my 4 does not support IOS 8, which does not seem a bad thing as I am getting good battery life.

Yes, 4s. It's been brilliant. I'm sentimental about it because it's the first mobile I ever had to buy for myself, and it launched my business 2 years ago.

Apple are sorcerers for obsoleting it in the way they have done, but Micro$haft have been doing this with PCs for years so why should I be surprised.

Hope to get £70 trade in for it, which offsets the modest up front cost of my new 5s of £30.

Just ordered via affordablemobiles.co.uk, on a 2gb data contract and all-you-can-eat everything else, with Three. £35 a month - beats my current O2 package by nearly 10%, although they regularly charge me more like £45 most months, the robberz...!

Thanks to all for guidance.

SE can now add "Moneysavingexpert" to its broad list of services - incredible!

Just wondering whether to sell my 4 on eBay and buy a 4S as there is not that much difference in price. Do not want a big phone, but would not mind a bigger screen, text is very small.

Is it a worthwhile upgrade?

No. Do not buy a 4s now. Ios8 has killed these. Get a 5s, refurbed if need be. Light weight, slightly longer, but not much bigger.

Campbell you'll get more on eBay for it than that. People seem to like the 4s for iOS8. Seen them going for £150. I sold my 4 non s for £130. :)

I pay less than that for my iPhone 6 on 3. Admittedly with capped minutes, but still way in excess of what I actually need or use.

Agree that eBay is the best course of action for your 4S, I got £140 for mine.

Good insights, Jeremy.

I thought hard about whether I needed "unlimited" minutes, but the nature of my business and the fact that I don't operate a traditional landline means that it's the right choice for me. For now!

I also thought hard about being an iphone 6 "early adopter". And decided against that too ;-)
