Been chatting on SE 7 about getting an IBC and storing diesel at the current prices as 1000l would do my commute for the year.

Would it be worth the hassle, once the cost of an IBC and pump was taken into account?

Ok, and how do you get the diesel in it in the first place, and do you have a raised platform so it can be gravity-fed into your car?

Simples, trailer it to Tesco forecourt pump. You'd get another £30-40 quid off with your clubcard points too! :)

Just try not to crash on the way home...

Ok, Tesco etc wouldn't allow a 1,000 litre purchase in one pop.....and if they did, would you store it on the trailer for the year, and if not, how would you get approx 1 metric ton up onto the aforementioned raised platform?

I spend about £60-70 a month on electric. I have a couple of panel heaters and a towel rail in the en-suit, No gas or oil heaters. I have 1 woodburner and as much free wood within the grounds I live in.

I must have one of the cheapest fuel bills on SE apart from hendeg?

While in Crief one releases the hounds in the Hamptons one releases hungry offspring to protect ones property.

Of course I could never document their attack word on an open forum.
