Is there a temp probe on the thermal store that controls the supply to the pump. If the pump runs on the bench it may be worth checking.

Cheers Sanj. Not sure Stephen but will try and find out.

Have a pic and it shows the model number on it, StarRS 25/6. However this lists at 1.5" not 2" but I measured across the outside of the threads whereas I think that it should be the inside diameter. I only unscrewed at one end to measure then connected again, so will take it off today and check if it is U/S.

You could disconnect the electrics and just run a cable straight from a plug to test it.
