Dave, not sure where in Dundee you are staying, but get yerself to Aitken's wine cellar (just behind Clarkie's the 24hr bakers off Peddie St

) - these guys ken their ar$es fae their elbows when it comes to vino collapso

Agree with douglasgdmw as nothign beats visiting the region living and breathing the wine making then brining the stuff home. Been gong back to the Ventoux region of France for the last 5 years and now rarely drink other wine at home.
Was chatting to the man in the local cave telling him I was drinking one of his bottles in MalMaison Glasgow. I bought a few bottles off him for 6 euros, he giggled with pride when I told him I paid £18 for it!

back from the dead, quite enjoyed this thread and sampled a few of the recommended!
If you like your chardonnays then you have to try one called Wild Rock Chardonnay Hawkes Bay from New Zealand, always on the look out for better every day Chardonnays, esp better than Lindemans Bin 65, but try the above - on offer in our local CoOp at £5.99 and it is special!
trying not to finish the bottle, but it is a Monday!

Best Rab C was the episode where rather than a pilgrimage to Lourdes he went to the Buckfast abbey.
