Ironically had just this chat with Tut the day before the snow arrived ;-)

My money would be on winter tyres on the Honda.

He's confident if either of them falls ill while snowed in, they'll get airlifted out, LOL.

Googling on them at present Campbell. Ideally second hand steels with decent tread tyres, but not much coming up at present on eBay or Gumtree.

I presume that the best bet is to go down in size, present ones are 16 X 215.

You could probably just switch the tyres on the existing rims. Having a full spare set is a bonus, but that can wait until next year...I think having the right rubber, pronto, is your priority.

You are two geriatrics in the middle of nowhere, after all ;-)

You know V Robin, so organised that we could survive a nuclear war here for a few months.

Tesco shares dipped when she was on holiday in Dubai.

ps:- just ordered 24 x tins of lychees on line as she has not been able to get them at Tescos, and she makes me these great dark chocolate coated lychees with fresh ginger slices in the middle, the only sweet stuff that I eat.

The Overlook hotel. Redrum.

We woke up to snow yesterday in deepest Cambridgeshire and I had to smash through a fair bit of ice on the nag's water trough this morning. Winter's icy grip is here.
