Subtley changing the set/format from the oafish Clarkson era (set/car/no Stig), but the best elements kept.

I'm undecided. Want to like it but tbh I lost interest after the first 20 mins or so..... The trailer looked promising though so ever hopeful.

I thought that it was much better than last seasons mumble jumble. Remember it's very hard to keep this programme appealing and extertaining for a big audience after all these years. I cannot think of an entertainment programme which has been as successful for anymore length of time.
We should just enjoy it for what it is.
Steve.

Was very good. Even better than foggy, compo and Clegg on TGT.
Harris has relaxed a bit too.

Was reasonably enjoyable.
The bits in the studio were the elements that were lacking as it seemed very stilted, probably put down to them not being very relaxed which I am sure will change as the season goes on.

Chris is the only good thing about it.
I like the other two, but they simply don't seem to work together... way too forced/false.
It's not terrible, but it's nothing like as good as TG was at it's best, they should have come up with their own format and let it grow.

Yeah cos coming up with a completely new format for a car series that is sold across the globe and viewed by millions is dead easy

Focus ST estate, i3s and more pushbikes than strictly necessary.
....did i ever tell you about the Evora and VX220 i used to own?

I did a factory Lotus driver training day he was also on in 1999 and he binned an Elise,

he's come a long way since then and I love watching his videos! He's a far better driver than I could dream of being!

But they've got a new sofa. And table that looks like a tyre.
And a credible car for Laps. With no water splash

They also have a Countach and an S3 Esprit in the set background

I thoroughly enjoyed that.
Most episodes of the grand tour were enjoyable but I thought the first Top Gear was better than any of them.
I think it benefits hugely because the presenters don't have to conform to the stereotypes/characatures of themselves.
The studio/guest bit was actually watchable whereas the studio bits on the Grand Tour were cringey in the extreme.
Looks like three blokes who genuinely love cars and who get on with each other.....
VX220 2.2 - Gone
BMW 335d Touring F31- Fastest car on the road
MINI Cooper 1.5- More fun than the BMW
