Smitten already. Keeps revealing cool new toys and is a bit more "grown up and polished" than our Mk2. 8 years with it would be a doddle. If the gearbox holds up, LOL.
These Skoda things get right under your skin eh? Sounds bizzarre to say about a diesel family car but I think the fact that they are such great all-rounders coupled with the fact that some people still have prejudice against Skoda makes them feel like members of the family.

My mate had a pre-facelift mk2 like your old one and now has a mk3 like your new one. There is a huge difference in interior quality.
I'd say my mk2 facelift is about 2/3rds of the way between them- for instance I have the xenons, auto lights/wipers/mirrors, rear electric windows, touch screen stereo etc.
The mk3 is a genuine quality item now though.

Good plan, mine runs 17in TT wheels as winters :thumbsup

PCD definitely correct, offset will be there or thereabouts. Offset on the ones I have is slightly lower than the standard Skoda wheels which means they actually fill the arches a bit better.

Getting back in a manual car is funny now. Lisa stalled the TT this morning by forgetting to use the clutch approaching lights lol

I run 16" Audi wheels on my A4 and Gillian's yeti. The 16"are supposed to be better on snow and are cheap as chips compared to 17".
If you're not living on the edge you're wasting too much space!
