Having driven a base model S2 last week, i'd be very very tempted by the prospect of an S2 111s in six months or so. Taking everything into consideration it's got to be my choice as the best all round everyday elise - 160 horses without the S160, erm, character. Plus those billies are in another league

Sounds a bit like John Donaldson's car...not sure if he still has it or not. Robin, do you know?ngaff1 wrote:Murrays have got quite a few cars in just now. They've also got a S2 with a 170PTP kit at about £15,000. Look at http://www.jmgroup.co.uk and do a used search. It was on the web site a while back. Don't know if they've taken it back or just never sold it. Silver with black OZ wheels, looks very smart.
Pretty sure John flogged it Cameron as I think Neil was tempted to buy before the 160.
I've had a good look at the car and to be honest - if you stick on a set of nitrons & the ARB you'll have pretty much the same set up as me.
On the down side - the interior has been treated to a bit of PMR with the side sills being done in carbon effect! I've been told that it's just adhesive tape but looks way naf!
Personally I was kinda hoping it would still be around when Iain was settled up with his insurance claim

I didn't think John had sold; don't think the CF trim would be his bag either, so on balance, probably not his car.campbell wrote:Sounds a bit like John Donaldson's car...not sure if he still has it or not. Damn right. That's exactly what happened to me. Wasn't planning on spending more than around £16k. Drove an '02 S2, but then had a shot in the 111R and just couldn't resist!craigs135s wrote:No Ed I havent was trying hard not to spend over 17k. And i know if i get a go of a 111r i will like it![]()
