Is it cheaper to call Dublin than it is to call an 0870 number?

Looks like someone has just tried to cheat me again now. Sold an RC tank to some guy in Oz, seemed legit, asked questions about postage (£55 and takes 42 days FFS) and paid in Paypal. Great. Takes a few days to clear, due to clear today and the payment's been cancelled! Good job I'm a suspicious barsteward eh?

Humph

As already answered, the IBAN is the international account no. and sort code and probably should appear on your bank statement.
Under normal circumstances you would not think of giving a stranger your bank account details, but if you think about it, anytime you issue a cheque not only do you do this but you also give them a lovely specimen of your signature
Your guy may well be legit and perhaps as others have mentioned really resents PayPal but for me, I wouldn't be giving him my details.

Tonight's installment:
I don't have a paypal acount. I just need your bank acount number so I can pay you.

U can ask your IBAN BIC/SWIFT numbers in your bank, I need those numbers to make the payment.
All it's missing is "please send the goods to Nigeria via my friendly shipping agent, If you could just pay him with the extra I send you....."

The latest update looks pretty definate scam. He now has 7 days to pay BY PAYPAL...
I am afraid I am not willing to do business in any other way. The only payment option on the auction was paypal only, which you do not require a credit card for, a debit card will do. If you have a bank account then you must have a debit card.

I'm afraid that unless payment can be made within 7 days by 3 Jan 07 via paypal I will have to list you as a non payer and report this to e-bay for their action.

Regards
Richard Humble

Bit of an update:

Well the bloke in Oz has paid up finally in 2 installments for some reason, just waiting for the second to clear now, but the Belgian has not replied and has been reported as a scumbag to e-bay

Note to self: don't sell stuff to foreigners

I don't think I have evermanaged to sell anything to the Scots, but I have bought several chunks of engine from a few SE members.... With awesome promises of power gains. VVC manifold is good for at least 10bhp.....at 10k RPM though! (Sh*g!)

Got a possible Dyno day on the way with NorLOG at Phoenix Motorsports brand new dyno. Should be interesting!
