That really does sound like a fun project!

The Chevy 'small block' 5.7 V8 seems to be the engine of choice in NZ jet boats, althought some of the bigger ones use an 8 litre V10, which I think is distantly related to the Dodge Viper lump. As the yanks would say, there ain't no substitute for cubic inches
