fantastic decision! i personally hate AOL for all the reasons i can think of! quite dont understand why they charge more for every feature of their's. is it because UK??

So tempted to go with Sky but I've heard if you're downloading torrents there maybe a way of Sky blocking them. Reason being, it effects them if you're not watching it on Sky but downloading say US programmes in advance.
Any truth?

quite possible. but u can ask them to open the port for u. am quite sure they cant legally stop u from downloading through a particular port.
i would still speak to their adviser before getting the connection.

Packet shaping and they can, not sure if they do. ome ISPs will permit it "off hours", whick is fair iirc if they are upfront about it.
