Nope, '97 was the first year at Balado cos that was the first time I went.
I was willing to be corrected on that

Crikey, 10 years ago you must've been knee-high to a grasshopper  :P

Went last year, and despite getting the VIP tickets (one of my suppliers) was surrounded by pikees throwing wee and other things.

Buckfast was the unofficial sponsor, and i left at 8pm to go for dinner somewhere a bit nicer. Most people there had regurgitated their dinner by that stage.

Was treated to some amateur boxing at the exit, which while providing a spectacle did little to impress the lady I was with.

Wont be going back again. Was gutted as I'd really looked forward to it.

Still sold the Sunday tickets for £300, which was a nice birthday present

blimey   you must be a 'cool' dad. my dad would've laughed, then said "erm, no". we did go to Womad one year though. lots of guardian readers smoking pot and being civilised in a field. lots of dub/reggae and jerk pork(fnarr). my sort of festival :D

ps forgive the parentheses. just couldn't work out how to use the word cool in that sentence.
