Nope, '97 was the first year at Balado cos that was the first time I went.
I was willing to be corrected on that
Crikey, 10 years ago you must've been knee-high to a grasshopper

Rumour has it they might be releasing a few more. Would be great to have a bunch of us there!

Went last year, and despite getting the VIP tickets (one of my suppliers) was surrounded by pikees throwing wee and other things.
Buckfast was the unofficial sponsor, and i left at 8pm to go for dinner somewhere a bit nicer. Most people there had regurgitated their dinner by that stage.
Was treated to some amateur boxing at the exit, which while providing a spectacle did little to impress the lady I was with.
Wont be going back again. Was gutted as I'd really looked forward to it.
Still sold the Sunday tickets for £300, which was a nice birthday present

I'm an even older git, we (swmbo & I) considered taking the kids this year, just one day, not staying over....

blimey

you must be a 'cool' dad. my dad would've laughed, then said "erm, no". we did go to Womad one year though. lots of guardian readers smoking pot and being civilised in a field. lots of dub/reggae and jerk pork(fnarr). my sort of festival
ps forgive the parentheses. just couldn't work out how to use the word cool in that sentence.
