How about seats first?

Hey, are the Dan bars the steering bars?
I thought these cars just needed a big hammer to unbend things? :P

And the engine seems amazingly smooth for a V8!

Phew!
Been working all day on it, and there's a lot to do.
Will eventually have to change all 6 shocks (yes, 6) because the shaft has rusted from not being driven :(

But before changing them will remove the rust with sandpaper and see when they start leaking.

Need air filters, and then to time the engine (anybody has one of those strobe timing guns they don't use anymore?). After it's been timed then I'll have to find the way to carburate it, it running kind of lean (my guess).

Fixed some vaccuum leaks, throttle play, travel, cleaned carburators, washed engine, made new brackets for the battery (the Exige battery now lives there) and generally noted a few things that need to be changed (almost always related to rubber, like hoses seals, etc)
There's a couple vent-like hoses in the carbs that I still have no idea what they do.

Ah, and need a new clutch master cyl, as the other one had no cap and it was full of water, mould and slime (and part of this is inside the clutch line)

I wonder how many bleeding nipples are going to break later

Anyway, Paul is off on his cruiser boat next Saturday, but other wise I would have thought the car would be ready to go out as soon as next Saturday!.

Let's see...

A rather late update

But Shrek has a new home and he is now mine

Its my first V8 <BG>

Already sorted a few jobs like fix the clutch pedal and had a crack at the overheating problem by chucking the thermostat in the bin

Now just got to find out how to stop it burping and farting back out the carbs, strange these carb things personally i don't believe in them
