But I thought someone in an Exige was running a low boost ste up?
Just at that price might be worth sticking away for a rainy day

Fantastic price Tut!!

But all should beware. If like me you suffer from a serious lack of driving talent that much power could be fatal.

Great news tut!
Not just 'cos you're lending me one for FF... :D

Btw let me know if you need any £'s for consumables (pads, tyres, driveshafts, S/C belts, front clams... ) ;)

Pesky, that is the car, but it's the only one that will be allowed to stay that way, and even that may change.

Cheers,
Robin

just a bit of a pisser, as i could up the power with this for approx 1K once i sell the Kpro, or i could spend 10 times that on making my car light enough to be competitive.

jamie

Probably around three weeks to make the decision, then method of payment shortly after, and depending on numbers.

I paid by EFT and was charged for that, but there could be better ways.

Neil

I think that Walshy, AJK, etc have the UK Civic kit, whereas this one starts out at a 15HP advantage.

With a good exhaust system and map it could well turn out 320-330 hp.

Also I can get the kit with no ECU at all, you already have the K-Pro, for £1350.

Neil, it wouldn't be fair on the other class B entrants, and would basically make class B into a restricted s/c honda class. I can understand your frustration, but I do believe the class is going to be more fun keeping it n/a.

Actually, what I cannot understand is why they don't boot the s/c car out of the class, because even with the 250BHP limiter on it, the car has some significant advantages over the n/a cars in the same class (it should have shed loads of torque from 2,500 RPM to the rev limiter, for example). There's obviously more to it than that, but it doesn't really seem fair on the rest of you :-(

Cheers,
Robin

Yeah, Class B is a bit odd, to say the least. Eg SeanB is in the ClassB with a stonking K series engine, & an electronic shift on a sequential gearbox.

In all fairness to the organisers they were starting with a "clean sheet", & the grids & racing to date have been great to watch. Will be interesting to see what they decide for next year.

In the meantime, Neil, you've definately done yourself (& support crew) proud 8)

It may be stonking but as it's n/a and <2.0L it's a fair fight for a Honda n/a engine, IMHO. The sequential gearbox is an option for everyone in class B - right enough most people wouldn't bother, but it's an option.

Cheers,
Robin

Is the Duratec not also close to the hp max?

If you knocked the Duratec and SC out of the class things would be level? Maybe raise the min weight to an achievable target so you would end up with a faster version of class A
