Im lost - the wheel is on with bolts. One bolt wont move - and there is now a bit of tool in the bolt?

I`d take it back to drivers and get them to sort it out. Their fault, end of.

They didnt want to touch it. Thats not a big hassle though, it will drill out no bother.

The broken spline bit will fly out at some point - lets just hope not hitting someone as it egresses at speed.

Drilling out a complete wheel bolt will be a complete bitch - Perhaps getting one machined out of hi tensile material would be a better option?

Kenny, I've got a tube of copaslip for when you put the wheel back on if you like

An impact driver & a new spline key might shift it if is in good enough condition after the drilling, but at the risk of destroying another spline key...

I would offer you my spline key but its pretty chewed up (one of the reasons I went for the new bolts like yourself)

Cheers I'll have a read of that later.

PM'ed Stu to see if he can make one out of high grade steel.

Phoned Geary and replacement nuts will be here tomorrow. Could have one more go with your key if you think it will work :?

Tyre will be fine for a few days, just keep having to check it but would rather get it sorted asap before the tyre becomes non repairable.

No probs, maybe with a bit of scaffold bar or something long it might come off? I`ll bring it with me when you get an appointment at domsport.

How does tomorrow suit? Assuming you guys have nothing better to do on a Friday night than fiddle with my nuts?

It's unlikely to come off if you've sheared one, using more leverage wont make the slightest difference either if you're snapping the spline tool (you'll just find it easier to snap ;)). If you shear another one, give up and drill it out. It'll take ages and make sure you have plenty drill bits!

We used to have cobalt drill bits at work which will go through most things much better that HSS. I can look to see if I have any in my tool box.
