I know a couple of us have spoken about rather doing that than bungee, and it would be cool to do - i quite like the sound of a week out in Spain!!!
Mark, looks like you did your research, and looks like a good company!

I have done a couple of bungees, and they are not even 1/10th as scary as freefall skydiving. A bungee is just a fairground ride - skydiving requires you to remember a lot in a very stressfull situation, and it can go wrong. A friend who was on the course with me got into an uncontrollable spin on the his level 5 jump, the instructor couldn't get to him and threw his own shute first - my mate eventually managed to deploy his at about 3000ft - about 2500 lower than you are supposed to during AFF. I'll try and get the vid of it this evening, but is really is seriously bloody scary!simon wrote:PussyRag_It wrote:I know a couple of us have spoken about rather doing that than bungee
Bungee is superb.
Mark
One of my mates did this, he's now at instructor level apparently. He went with a mate last year who apparently lost his bottle at about level 7 ... so weird to get that far then freeze when you're at the door
Top effort mate - wish I had the time & funds for that!

I know someone who did skydive stunt training and he reckons that they aren't that scary because when you jump you don't get the same feeling of plummeting. He did say that one of the jumps they did involved hanging on to another person as they deploy their chute, then letting go once they're slowed and that it was much more of an adrenaline rush because of the instant drop.ryallm wrote:I have done a couple of bungees, and they are not even 1/10th as scary as freefall skydiving. Not done a skydive myself yet but it's something I'll be doing soon hopefully.
Well there are a few takers, saving for NY at Christmas, a Lotus this year/early next, so realistcially i am not going ot be able to squeeze in £1400 which is pretty much what is needed for an enjoyable week from what Mark says.
As for your Pussy comment Mr Arnot, these are for you
- I will enjoy seeing the footage of you doing it on your honeymoon, although after 3 weeks away you will have had time to tell us it was an amazing experience, and dead simple no doubt!!!
It might be worth making it in March of next year, after Xmas spending, and 3 months into the year - time for first holiday of the year!!!
