Cheers tut, I know spaces are limited, so I guess I'll need to wait to see if I'll get on the track!
Should be a good day.

Hi Tut,

My mate has a mk 2 lotus cortina and would like to do this event how does he get involved?
Would he just contact Stuart Gray at knockhill , don't think he is in the lotus club.

Thanks again for your organisation skills

I had a call from Knockhill yesterday to ask if I wanted to go firm on the track booking for the Friday evening.

I took a chance and said yes as I did not think we wanted to risk losing it. At present there are 61 entries in the Database for Sunday and 30 for the track for Friday, but I need around 50 to keep the cost at a maximum of £50.

Could everybody with details in please put a positive "yes/no" in the column, or if they are not sure at this stage a "?"

I will probably have to do it along the lines of tuttowers and have you send cheques to me as I will have to pay a deposit then the full amount closer to the time.

Also could members of other car clubs put out the invitation for the Friday track session, I had quite a few at tt last year that had heard via SIDC and other means who came along just for the track on the Friday.

cheers

Added to the DB. I'm a yes for the friday night and hopefully will get a track day in before then so i'm not all n00b like!

My girlfriend may also want to join on the Friday night, but drives an Mx5, any chance she could join in, or will the performance difference become an issue?

No probs with the MX5 Chris, and it is always good to see more lassies on the track.

It should still put her ahead of some on here............

I will be coming over to see the event (car should be be back on road by then) but wont be on track....can we just turn up,park and take part in the meet. Sorry but database thing is obviously too much for limited ability .... :leave Is the Jim Clark thing a drive about or is it an organised need a pass thing?

sorry for probable stupid questions but.....stupid is as stupid does

Steve

You only have to turn up on the Sunday, pay half price entry, and you will be shown where to park in the SE section.

If you cannot put your details into the Database, let me have them and I will put them in. I presume that you will not be doing the track session on the Friday?

Full name, nickname, car model, colour, reg no.

The Jim Clark run on Saturday, and dinner at the Paxton House in the evening, I will post the details for later after speaking to the Lotus Club.

Tut, I have changed my entry for the Sunday track time to 'no'. I'm on a definite bender the night before, and not sure I'd relish it anyway. Demand for those spots outstrip supply so I'd much rather any place I potentially took (had I been picked) was passed on to an SE'r who might be sober.

Hopefully still be there for the Hot Tub & Bikini Babes competitions though...

Tut,

Impressive.

Have tidied up my own DB entry - can't commit to track on Sunday or on the Friday at present, so have set both to "no" for now. As the time approaches, I'll take another look at finances and logistics if you are short of numbers for the Friday.

Also, have added a DB entry for bruv in law Ian. Mentioned this to him and sis in law at weekend, and they are keen to come along and make a day of it. If he can get the Friday off work, he *may* be interested in losing his trackday cherry on the Friday night as well but can't say for sure just now, hence I put TBC in the record. No need to hold a place if you get oversubscribed though, and I'll get a definite answer from him as soon as he's recovered from his heart op ;-)
