Unfortunately I think fitting a pram in the boot will be the least of your 'space' problems when trying to use a 500 as a family car :(

I'm definitely not one that subscribes to the notion of going out and buying a Renault Scenic as soon as you have a kid but child seats are bulky things that take up far more room than you think.
I'd be susrprised if you manage to fit two adults and a child seat in a 500, and if you do it'll really not be comfortable!

2 adults and a car seat is fine, we've already done it with my niece.....it's the overnights that are an issue. But it's ok - ive got a plan.

Swapping the Triumph for a focus to use as the family car.

It's the only sensible and grown up way to deal with this - buy more cars
Focus ST estate, i3s and more pushbikes than strictly necessary.

....did i ever tell you about the Evora and VX220 i used to own?

It's a while ago now… but I remember our surprise/dismay at how deep baby seats are. Front passenger seat leg room vanishes (cue Mini sale and Golf purchase pre-arrival). When they progress to their next seat, the space in the car magically reappears :)

All the best to you and Shelley, Martin.
