Just back after my trip to LAmbo in MAnchester.

Firstly, what car. They might well have sold it had they bothered to take it out of the showroom or even fiegn vague interest in trying to sort a drive, start it etc.

Its a great bit of kit, but the e-gear I'm not massivley keen on.

A lot to think about.

It looks epic in 3 layer grey metallic, but need to think about whether i really want the running costs.

Reckon it wouldnt lose too much, given the new Superleg £, but i REALLY missed not having a gear stick in the 430, and suspect i might again.

They had a GT2 in the showroom also which was lovely, but the sales guy, a slef confessed Prosche guy, reckoned the GT3 was the more complete car, the GT2 being too mad (sounds like my kind of car!)

Anyway, they were nice enough, but not sure how they thought i would buy the car without a drive or even starting it up??

hmmmmmmmmmmmm - the reckoning begins - photo to follow tomorrow :thumbsup

Rangie served me beautifully today, and has cracked up another 400 miles with Racepod and car in the back.

Andy,

get the porker, this one is subjective but I think its one of the meanest/coolest cars ive seen in ages. I know the matt things been done but come on, this would make grown men pull over, kids cry and women wet themselves if this went roaring past.

apologies for getting a bit excited, but it is cool

Great pics Andy. That was a brief but welcome "day in the life of" a self-made entrepreneur, thanks for sharing :-)

Not sure why, but I like Mika's car more than Lewis'.

But I like the white Porsche more than any of them :thumbsup

(Showed Lisa pics of the "cheap" Guards Red GT3 on PH, at £31k, and I honestly think she was about to sell one of the children :love )

Jeez...

Dunno what it is, but I've never liked the standard GT3 wing. Otherwise, a lovely looking car (but it's no Lambo, is it ;))

Actually agree on the wing..think a later variety has something a bit more "Touring Car" (!) which I actually like better

If I were you, I'd get the SL now, drive it for a few years and change it to the new GT2 RS.

in EVO this month they drove the R8 V8 with an aftermarket supercharger on it, in their words:

"At £21,995 fitted (including VAT), VF Engineering's upgrade is a big, big investment, but the performance gains are significant enough that you'd have to spend considerably more again to find a faster or more exciting car. What's more, with good low mileage R*s for sale at £60k or thereabouts, you could have a V10 beater for less than the price of a new V8 powered R8"

Sounds ideal to me (if i were in your shoes).....
