No I can't book test, from the 6/10/11 only start the process of returning to the road , apply provisional like a 17 year old.......then go through the rest of the crap that goes with it, so as soon a possable after that .........

Just downloaded a coundown calender to the 6/10/11, so everytime I open my labtop on I can see the seconds to my ban lifted ticking by .... :thumbsup.

I have work to get keep me busy so starting tomorrow my drivers Noops Jr, Mags and a few others will be incharge of getting me around.......should be intresting??? anyone want run a book on how long it takes or how many times we are pulled by L&B over the next year.... :blackeye .

So far the advantages,It is rather nice being driven around ( relaxing 8) ), I don;t have to worry about answering my fone ( more work) , I can look at the veiw ( nice legs) , I don;t have to make a desicion at a junction,(oh sh*t) ......

Disadvantages, Its a pain driving in the same traffic (stress  ), I can;t answer my fone ( less work), I don't see the veiw ( what are legs :?: ) I have to make a desicion at a junction ( same to you mate :finger )..

:thumbsup That's the spirit! :thumbsup

Chin up buddy, it wont be long till your sorted:wink: Its the small things that keep it :thumbsup for me. Today I was really busy..Noops Jr has been a total trooper he's running here there and everywhere :thumbsup, phone ringing off the hook and not a customer let down.

I thought addjusting to not being able to drive would be po'ed ............, however after 30 years of driving , I've desided to turn it to my advantage and enjoy my time away from behind the wheel......I used to spend thousands of hours driving in the AGRI sector , infact I became so ill doing it, that I ended up in hospital with Crohon's ....and its nice just not doing it.

Its nice to be able to drive, when you want to drive to where you want to drive too, thats the differance and thats not so easy to adjust to. :thumbsup

Noops , just catching up on this post now , sorry to hear the outcome , im sure a year will fly by in no time at all. Regarding resitting the test , i assume this means you have to start after the ban finishes ? i.e cannot do it now ?

I do'nt belive it...

Our local farmer where I carry out pest control, gave a job ( about three years ago)to a Turkish gent helping now and again on his farm. This new guy was driving tractors etc in and around the farm helping with general farm work . At the time the then tractorman wasn't to happy about the new appointment :? however he put up with it  it was fairly apparent to me and my mate that something was not quite right :?: his driving was intresting and so was the way he dressed .

Infact we wondered at the time if he had a driving licance....or wellys

Eventually he became a part of system with his eggerness to impress the farmer in every way by running around like a puppy  at the farmers whim, he also put a few local noses out of joint by becoming a jack of all traids.....plumber, roofer , pest control , fencer ,tractor driver etc. It was obvious that he had never carried out any of these jobs and was becoming a pain to all exept the farmer...the then Tractorman became so pissed off with the situation he left after many years of service.

The Turkish gent was now a part of the everyday working team driving here there and everywhere often through the village with a tractor and trailor with bails on a busy road with school kids going about his day to day work..

Yesterday I find out that we were right, he has never had a valid licance or insurance for all of this time........and is now confined to the farm ( not lost his job )not alowed to drive and has been told to sit his test and has got away with this scot free....

How can this farmer and the gent involved justify this in any way in regards to public safey or insurance...the first question to ask would be , Have You A Licance and can I see it .

Regarding what has just happened to me.....how would you feel......

Hi mate,

I was wondering how you were going with this. Best of luck I hope you can ram these twats.....I read with intrest that bogus police in a 4x4 with blue light are stopping moterists and making them carry out cartain requests...the actuall police advice.. drive to a well lit area or to the nearest police station carpark and phone for id... There's my next excuse.... :thumbsup

Keep us informed... Teeside, do they allow shopping trolleys or a wheel barrow as it all i'm qualified to hoon right now
