NHS 24... a call centre in South Queensferry, can give better service and be more helpful than my local GP a few hundred yards from my door...

Its getting to the point that if I take ill, or anyone else in the famly for that matter take ill, then we wait till the local GP has shutdown there phone lines so we can speak to someone who can actualy help you..

Big thumbs up to them for helping me out tonight. Megan down with tonsolitus again... from first phonecall at 11.00pm to penicillin took under an hour. :thumbsup

You just dont get that kind of service with your local GP. Must be too busy handing out stuff to the junkies and unmarried mums.... :evil:

Well it moves... might as well make the most of it....

That's not entirely fair john. Your modern GP has a lot more on his plate than he used to, there's visits to his accountant to manage in between sitting in and counting the money that he gets paid for not doing house calls anymore. There's compensation he receives for losing the shift allowance he no longer gets as he no longer works shifts...

Stuff like that means he has a lot of forms to fill in you know...
