Not quite as planned once again with the Rallye idea, think that may have been a case of rose tinted specs TBH (Not saying it was a bad car by any means). So next up was back to a S3. Very capable road car but i have the Fabia for that, but not really suited to track work. Again been there done that
So would you be on a 306 forum as Scib4?

Been lurking intending to get a 306 gti for the winter, got it's ugly sister instead - Xsara VTS. Don't laugh I'm loving it... (didn't sell the Elise so not deep enough pockets for an Integra)...

Well this weekend i finally made a start striping a few parts on the Teg as i am booked onto the SIDC day on the 27th.

First up was to remove the Sump which was not quite as simple as i was hoping as you need to remove the manifold and a gearbox/flywheel cover thing  So that i could weld in my baffled sump plates....

Also managed to strip down all the rusty old white! brakes. The fronts are some weight!

So that i could strip them down and repaint them. The pistons and rubbers where in surprisingly good shape..

In preparation for my new shinny bits, including some EBC Ultimax and Carbotech Xp8's for the front and EBC blanks and Carbotech AX6's for the rear. Along with new bleed nipples, HEL braided brake lines and some RBF600...

And finally treated myself to some Rota Slipstream's :D

Just need to start putting it back together

Hel brake lines are great. They are giving a free set to everyone who enters time attack this year. :thumbsup

What paint did you use to paint your calipers? Is it high temperature paint? I burned the paint of my calipers when i overheat my brakes last year and they are minging brown now

You signed up again then Scot? :thumbsup

Just Hammerite paint, can't see them going brown however as i went for black. I did use high temp paint on my Brembo's on the S3, Foliatec. But they were red and also went brown.
