I have to publically thank Mr Smee for an incredible wedding present:

Image

2 single cask Mortlachs, bottled last week at Andrew's request especially for Victoria and me. Distilled in 1998 which is the year Victoria and I met.

Andrew, your generosity is boundless and we're very grateful, and look forward to sharing them with you on our 25th anniversary... or our 1st maybe; I'm not a patient man. :)

Thanks also for the umpty-several generous drams of exceptional quality last night! I'm a broken man today. Appologies to Victoria for the puke down the side of the Mini, and the snoring monster passed out diagonally across the bed with dried chunder on his face.

:cheers

Just bought a bottle of 21yr old Balvennie Portwood in the duty free.
Fabulous whisky. One of the best I've tasted.

I'd rather have 2 bottles (ok, 1.5 bottles) of the 15 personally.

While we're on the topic of our new favourite distillery, I've tried the Cask Strength Batch 2. It's not the superstar that Batch 1 was, so if you see any Batch 1 left, hoover it up for the future. http://www.thewhiskyexchange.com/P-18856.aspx

Also, email arrived moments ago telling me the Macallan Coronation will be delivered on Friday. :D

Store and sell. Did you see them in the SWA last month? A dozen bottles, all £920-940! Will hang on to it for sure!

I think this has been mentioned before but i would like to do this tour -

I could get possibly one or two others i know to try it.

It's Monday/Wednesday only so i realise it will be difficult.

Anyone interested
