Just watching it now.

ps:- one of the ugliest buildings that I have seen, looked like a railway carriage sitting on tea chests. Again they do not show the finished product, the interior was months away from completion, and the £100K had turned into £160K plus. The structural engineer/architect should have stuck to building Lego.

The 100k house is a great programme. Necessity being the mother of invention leads to some great ideas (the |Elise being a good example) and great houses. The scaffolding bookcase was inspired I thought and certainly beats the £1000 I spent in Ikea for our study. Ginny's dad is an architect and he spends a lot of his time doing this kind of consultancy with folk that are building huge extensions. That said, what I've picked up from the show so far is to angle the walls to create the illusion of space.

We put some offers in on this place a while ago:

It was on for an asking price of £450k when we went to see it and offered that which they refused. A year later it's offers over £650k (despite it saying guide price). Not sure how the housing market works really. However, it was pretty stunning inside and the plans were to double it in size using the same idea of a long barn with bedroom pods attached.
