Petrol tank. If empty, put £20 in...doesn't register on gauge or trip.
I have to fill right up for it to work.
Apparently once you use 1/3 of a tank, remaining fuel is an estimate.
Apparently that's what's known as a Torry or Weegie fill ;)

It's a saddle shaped tank so needs to be more than half full to register. It's all in the manual btw.

Porsche owners always have their man servant brim it don't you know!!
Don't think that applies to us poverty spec 996 owners...

Still can't get comfy with seating position.

Did over 800 miles in it this weekend on super fun twisty roads and it just kept going round corners brilliantly without a hint of understeer... Weird.

As per Facers; you had a pram-wheeled bridgestone shod VX ahead top test the corners for you. :)
Nup, he was leading for a good while too. From my seat the porker did very well this weekend.
Martin, if the proker was doing VERY WELL, don't you think it would have disappeared into the distance?

I don't know driving in another way which isn't risky. Each one has to improve himself. Each driver has its limit. My limit is a little bit further than other's.

Mine has only been to Peter at Motortune, Shotts since I bought it.

May pop it into Porsche glasgow for the odd stamp, but Peter will be the one doing any work on it I reckon.

He's well known in Porker circles and there's always some nice cars in there any time I'm up.

Cheers,

Dave

That'll do for me Dave, thanks - pretty local too.
I've bought a MK1 996 GT3, oldest car I've ever owned. Lets hope it doesn't need to see Peter too often.

Agree with Dave's comments on Motortune, you will be in fine hands there.

Found a few pics of my old Boxster and my dad's old 997 Carerra 4 (amazing car). If I don't go down the Lotus route I reckon I'll try a Cayman which I like the look of!
