I've got a plate with my initials on it which was a 21st pressie. I actually don't like having a plate as it means everyone knows where you are, and how you're driving...
But I suppose now I'll have a car that's as obvious as the plate it won't matter. Just have to
try to behave. Which is hard on the wonderfully unregulated A82
I saw a plate that spelt STOLEN at knockhill last year, and there's a Gallardo kicking about town with a fab plate like BAN ME or something (can't remember) which is quite cool.

I once told my other half Helen that she was to shoot me if I ever:
1) Showed even the slightest inclination to take up golf.
2) Grew a beard.
3) Bought a private plate as they are strightly for vain plonkers.
Well, I still hold to 1 and 2, but needless to say I have changed my tune on 3 as I now have L3 EXG on my car. I think looks quite distinctive, but only cost £250 and I could probably sell it on for a bit more. At the end of the day it doesn't really matter what anyone else thinks - if you like the look of a plate, go for it
