Going to spend the weekend cleaning out the Elise (Full seats out to rescue the change and CDs...) and tidying it up and get some pics for the advert :?
Been looking on pistonheads and some S1s are going for over £10k! :D

Sadly not at TT :(
But I'd like to hear your experiences on maintaining them!:thumbsup
Is there a lot that needs special tooling or facilities? I'm not too concerned about fiddly jobs I just object to paying someone to do stuff I could do!

Quattroboy (Brian) has put me onto a possible lead... Guy in Moffat (I think that's what he said) who is interested in a swap a 1994 S4 Esprit Turbo for my Elise... sadly he was in a windtunnel (Well it sounded like that!) so I couldn't get the details but I'm going to call him tomorrow. Sadly it hasn't moved for 2 years so I need to work out the details with him.. Not all that keen to buy a non-runner but for the right deal it's an awesome car... 280bhp and 260 ftlbs 0-60 in 4.5....

Trying to buy with head - it's not working... as normal

Little snippet from the spec:

Maximum power: 264 bhp at 6500 rpm - Apparently has built in overboost taking it to over 280bhp??!
Maximum torque: 261 lb ft at 3900 rpm - Stump puller...

Maximum speed: 165 mph
0-30 mph: 1.9 seconds
0 - 60 mph: 4.7 seconds
0 - 100 mph: 11.9 seconds - My clean license may be under threat...

EPA City driving 17 mpg
EPA Highway driving 27 mpg - Ah well...
