Yep, the 330 reliable hp would tip the scales.

I suppose a drive in both that and an S/C Honda would make sense first, as I believe Scuffers is getting 310hp out of it now, and that, plus VTEC and 8,500rpm might have it over the turbo and 6500.

I remember Kelvin saying that the original N1 TUT with the Audi 330 was shooting past everything else on the track before it burnt out in the fire.

Current shortlist is:

S2 Exige 22ishk
S1 Exige 17k
Honda S1 17k

Problem with the Honda car is that Bill is in hospital in Switzerland, the car is in the UK and I want to buy something next week...money burning a hole in my pocket.

I'd buy an Audi pre-converted car for the right money (none advertised just now though) but would prefer Honda if I was paying for the conversion myself as I like revs and would also prefer NA over turbo…would really need to drive them though.

I'm getting frustrated and I can't bloody decide what to do, all I want is a Honda S/C S1 Exige with every conceivable mod delivered to my door tomorrow for less than 20k...surely that's not too much to ask

Seriously though, if anyone’s bored and wants to have a look about, then post a link on this thread pointing at the car you'd spend 20k or less on...has to be Elise or Exige :)

as sanjoy said, you should drive them all. personally, i wouldnt want an S2 exige due to the engine and brake pedal feel. So for me, its either an S1 exige or a honda'd S1. you can kinda guess where my vote lies. either will be good tho. All things being equal, the honda'd S1 will be faster, exige looks more dramatic, turns more heads etc etc.

depends if you want it to look at, and possibly have a future classic (exige) or if you want the quicker, more fun track shed to thrash and abuse.
