He clipped the back of the Red Bull because he had to run wide, not because he turned in.

Hamilton made a pretty feeble joke, it's not funny when Ali G says it, even less funny when Hamilton said it in an interview.

Alonso and Vettel have had isssues with composure/driver errors in tha last couple of years, looks like this is Hamiltons turn.

think you're right, but I cant see Hamilton handling it very well now and over the next few months - he's been golden balls for too long.

Agree with the Ape and Scotty, and even more so when you remember that they dont actually have the steering lock to make a tighter turn. Massa could have ended both their races and reacted too late - should have yeilded.

I laughed!
I'm not really sure how he was meant to answer it other than to make light of it?

Campbell,

Here's what Jake Humphrey said about it in his blog - spot on;

I'm not condoning what Lewis said specifically, in the heat of the moment, but I will say I'm always pleased to see drivers speaking their mind and being honest. We moan and groan when they are as bland as possible to avoid any potential controversy, so we mustn't be outraged when they share their honesty.

Forgetting the Massa incident for a moment, i think his attempted pass on Madonado was worse, born purely out of frustration and whlst we have to applaud his ambition and desire to race we also need to look at the impact his decision had on Maldonado and the entire Williams team. Those world championship points would have meant a lot more to a struggling Williams than a couple extra for Lewis. As well as hurting their own midfield championship battle it will have had a massive impact on team morale and potential sponsorship revenue etc. Huge impact from a thoughtless moment.

I can also see where Lewis Hamilton is coming from. Both Massa and Madonada knew he was there and turned in anyway. A risky move but wouldn't it be awfully boring if drivers didn't go for it.

Sorry Smee I disagree totally The points may mean the difference between a second championship or also ran to Hamilton and the day he doesn't race for every place because he feels sorry for another team is the day he needs to quit.
It's up to Williams to earn their own points - sure they really need them but it's up to them to fight for them
