Eek, nasty time to sell, with the new Civic launched and the buzz building about the new CTR....
(sorry, am I going all BBS on you?)
Guess you may have more luck as winter loosens it's grip and people start looking forward to spring. Plus nobody's got any cash in January....
Chin up chap, you'll be in a proper car soon

Which is admiteddly a bit crap...
Still, it's a proven turn-off for buyers, especially as the new Civic looks like it'll handle the 'butching up' process a lot better (not that I think there's much wrong with the way the current CTR looks...)
It's not a 2 seater convertible though, so I'm sure there will be plenty of interest!

The rumour is that the new CTR shall be a return to the stripped out lightweight Type R heritage, 240bhp seems to be the most agreed on figure. Given up on all the variations, but the word from Honda top brass is that it will be the leader in the hot hatch market when its released.
Anyway, wanna buy mine?

Glad to see that you have returned to looking at an Exige Kenny. I am biased of course, have never driven a VXR, have absolutely nothing against the brand name, its the car that matters, but it is not an Elise, and losing anything of the Elises handling, braking, lightness etc is a no no for me.
I still think the S1 is the only one for me, but you are coming at it as a new owner, so all round use and maybe comfort are important to you, in which case an S2 would be better for you. You are not bothered about a soft top, so an Exige is probably the way to go. Never thought that I would say this, but the one you are looking at does not mention A/C, and I would think you would want that in Summer with the top on.
You are looking at £24K there, so with that budget you could buy any used Elise/Exige. I dont know if the other end of the market would interest you, but you could pick up an early mint, low mileage S1 for £9K or less, but no use to you if you really want an Exige.

Hello tut, still possible I might opt for an S1 Elise but to be honest its not what I want, driven a few now and the only one I really loved was Ed's Exige, though I am considering the S1 for a year then upgrade to the Exige.
Aircon would be good but its not a priority, I think would help the resale but I'll only need it for 2 days a year in Scotland.
If my car was sold I would buy the blue S2 Exige posted earlier but I dont think it will be around at that price for long.
I think my patience will probably run out by March, so if I cant find an Exige it will be a search round the stealers for the best deal on an S1 Elise, just in time for the trackday season.
