Must say dont feel that dirty washing should be aired in public like this. Ive been on the recieving end of what felt like an SE vendeta with people going as far as to post my reg number and where you could find my car parked up.
I had my car damaged at my last SE event by a well known member and decided to let it go as it wouldn't be worth the hassle if i mentioned it on here as everyone else seemed to find it amusing.

But if it's been mentioned in private, perhaps ad nauseum and still nothing changes, surely then it's time to make it a bit more public?

I'd agree entirely if this was the first this'd been mentioned but it's clearly not.

I know what it's like with 'vendettas' I had the Police phone me last winter after someone reported an orange Lotus involved in a hit & run in Banchory. How the Police tracked me I don't know. Thankfully, I was at work at the time and my car was in several pieces in the Clark Motorsport workshop but it's not good when you're wrongly accused.

Delighted everyone is okay - thats the main point.

Sorry to hear about this - its not the first road run incident, and wont be the last.

I ended up with the police last year for 2 hours despite Peter B and I trying to avoid the mass road run!!

They can be epic fun, but for me my fun is now on track. Road runs - thats now pretty much FF &TT only. And occasionally one to the borders which i dont post about, and they are rare as hens teeth, ad normally with no warning

Regardless of fault, I'd feel hellishly guilty if anyone i knew got hurt in something like this.

Still itching to get back to Highway 60 over here though - in an Elise is would be epic.

I have no idea what happened but I always find the max number of cars for enjoyable runs can only be approx 5 with similar driver skills. IMO, too many cars for a run is more like a parade :blackeye with increased chances of accidents.

I don't know driving in another way which isn't risky. Each one has to improve himself. Each driver has its limit. My limit is a little bit further than other's.

I for one applaud Scotty for posting this!
I aired my thoughts on the run thread prior to this thread.
I've seen the person behind the wheel twice and was amazed by his attitude.
Tbh, I expected a big crash prior to this, thankfully I was wrong.

No idea why he is being defended, his actions, including what I actually saw myself was inexcusable.

Take it easy SE.

He's being defended by myself as he is a friend. A friend who needs some driving issues sorted out granted

I havnt read all the posts in this, but i decided after the last 050709 run and an incident i was nearly involved in, that I'm not doing any big runs again... Which has posed a few problems for me as I don't track the car much and if I'm not doing road runs, then what's the point in owning the Elise?

Hoping to SORN the car over winter and sell it spring.

You are missing my point, no-one is saying he isn't a decent guy, just that his driving and attitude is so bad that someone is going to get hurt. I just don't see how that can be defended?
I'm also not sure if that's really covered by "driving issues".
If he has reached his current age and doesn't know where the line is, then I doubt you will be able to teach him.

If you read all the posts you will see that his driving skills have not really been defended I think. Quite obviously there is an issue to be resolved and all of a sudden people are jumping in....almost like when the school bully picks a fight and then others jump in on the back of the bullying. If all the people who have had an issue with the person in question had said to him face to face he might have got a clear message before now....maybe not but I am trying to think positively!
