I'd have a Spyder tomorrow.
Lovely looking cars but unfortunately not that quick. My FRS being quicker (on paper).
Nice 30mpg though ;-)

I went through the Porsche dilemma almost a year ago after 7 years of Lotus cars and after my S2 111S decide comfort was calling (some would say old age  ) so like you looked at many 911 cars but after trying a more modern Boxster and Cayman both 2.7 that offer a 2 year service interval decided this was the way to go, I had a shot of a 3.4 Cayman S and decided that was what I would buy as it is quick enough and doesn’t need as much effort as the 2.7 model to keep on the boil.
List was for the 18" alloys as the tyres are £135 corner cheaper and the ride is not as harsh.
Had the Cayman s for almost a year and the handling and power are up there with any car I have owned, it must be doing something right as I normally change the cars after a year but looking forward to another year of fun.
The boot and bonnet are large enough to take everything from a shopping for the family of 5 to a camping trip with my son so found it really practical as well.
I have done a few road runs with some of the SE folks and the Cayman manages to keep with the pack with no problems and during overtaking it has the legs on the Elise.
One down side is around town sitting in the Aberdeen traffic I get 20-21 MPG and out on a run 32MPG
My one is a low mileage car that had a full OPC history with all the right extras so be careful and patient and the right one will crop up
My 2P
Cheers :cheers
