Lots of interesting feedback.

Be sure to add your vote to the poll, just interested to see results.

No axe to grind...here I am, after best part of a year in the wilderness, posting more than I ever did in that period...and it's on SE2 !!

I was always strongly in favour of the simple, email digest option from SE1...in many ways I remain so, but am getting to know my way around this BBS and the helpful features it offers, and it's growing on me.

Eg, I could never have produced a writeup with inline pictures like I did for the Campaganza - or linked to it like this http://www.scottishelises.com/phpbb/vie ... c&start=45 as easily...so SE2 has its uses :-)

I only signed up here earlier this year, but never felt inclined to sign up for the Yahoo group. The forum format is just so much simpler to use, can easily show new threads since last visit, images inline within the posts, no need to sign up for a Yahoo ID...

Have used other Yahoo groups, but got fed up with the adverts getting in the way when you click on an image link- not tried it in a while so don't know if this is still the case.

When I sort by name for the last seven years on SE1, it is sad to see how many of the old team and characters that we have lost, though we have had some return.

That of course is why SE2 is so healthy now, as most of our new owners start off on there.

At time of writing, a quarter of respondents had posted to SE1 in the last week, and only a quarter of voters had never posted there.

Seems there is quite a proportion of crossover into SE2 - which is great!
