I dare say I'll put some of my own on during ownership.
Had a fright this morning when I got in it for the first time since bringing it home and it was completely dead. Traced to a loose negative terminal. So first fix complete too.

Nice one Ferg, looks great in those photos, look forward to seeing it (and hearing it) sometime. Must be good to know your old Elise is still in the family.
Just need some more man maths to justify sorting all the bits and pieces under a 'protecting the investment' pitch.

Looks fantastic Ferg,
Got to confess to have had thoughts similar to Greg's, but I thought it had been sold some time back.
Cheers

It is. Bring it on
(Lou can bring Dad's Elise with one of the kids...they can fight over who gets the Exige sweatbox or the Elise wind tunnel)

Hi Everyone,
My name is Justin Kennedy and I am Fergus' Dad.
When Fergus was thinking of selling his Lotus S1 I couldn't resist it. I feel ten years younger, that'd be 58.
I have had two previous Lotae. A Lotus Seven S which was owned for a year by Colin Chapman. TNG 7G was given to Caterham as part of the deal to transfer the rights.
I picked it up in poor condition a renovated it and kept it for 12 years. Then came the Europa or Lotus 47 with a Renault engine which was great fun but was always breaking down.
My third Lotus is the Elise S1 which I have bought from my son. It is in beautiful and original condition and I am loving it. Fergus has been meticulously renovating it for the past few years and I am the lucky beneficiary.
I am an engineer and mostly a business analyst. I started SystemWise 22 years ago which pretty much covered the most exciting times of computer development.
Recently retired and having sold my Computer business I obviously needed another Lotus.
I am looking forward to meeting you and seeing your cars.
Justin

Welcome to Scotish_Elises Justin, your son has been a great addition to the Forum so good to see his father take over his pride and joy. Hope to see you at KH or on a road run, but not until Sept when I get my licence back. I have six years on you which is probably why I read the speedo as 69 instead of 109mph, an easy mistake for me as some of the less respectful on here will point out.
You already have quite a Lotus history, and I guarantee that you will love the Elise.
Cheers

Liking the new plate and de-stickered look Ferg.
Perhaps twist your arm for a PAX on the next SIDC?
